A Genealogical Tree? Only names, names, names... It doesn’t matter who is in our family tree, but what, all those ancient genetic bits, supplied by a vast horde of begetters that give some of us blue eyes, others brown, short and tall bodies, fat and lean, good or bad brains... and all that illogical behavior that dogs us—and defines us—all through our lives. Why do we remind them of the studious uncle or that crazy aunt, why are we shy or aggressive, ponderous or silly? So I created my Gene-Illogical Tree. An ebullient flowering of hand-me-down organs and wackily happy ancestors. We are what we are, they seem to sing... —P.C.
