Pilar's Forest

Since I was very young, I have always been fascinated by trees. I climbed many of them and fell out of some of them. I liked the way they branched off in so many tempting directions, but yet they were still very singular and unified things, no matter how complicated, like people were. I was naturally drawn to them as subjects for my tapestries, and as their number grew they seemed to spread into a kind of imaginary forest. My forest. —P.C.
